Orthodontics
Orthodontics is a specialized dentistry field dealing with the treatment of malocclusions and it is usually associated with improving the ‘smile aesthetics’. In fact, the goal of orthodontic treatment is to restore proper functions of teeth, which include biting and grinding food, or improving pronunciation. Orthodontic treatment is becoming more and more widely used because improving teeth alignment can often reduce the risk of injury, eliminate occlusal overload that can lead to early teeth loss, as well as improve chewing and facilitate teeth cleaning. Orthodontic treatment applies to both children and adult patients.
